Some scene kids steal the show in their own unique way of dressing up and the way they interact with people in the scene. They are not aware that they attract public attention, but perhaps they do this unconsciously.

For them, that’s the way they act and speak; that’s their natural way of interacting with people. But scene kids are not trouble-makers, maybe some of them but not majority. A great number of them are gay or bi-sexual and they really attract too much attention.

For gays and bisexual, it’s their way to fit in and win friends. For them, it’s just cool; it’s just the trend, that’s all. They won’t knock others, they want peace, so don’t knock them off. They don’t intend to interfere on others’ lifestyle so, it’s improper to interfere on their lifestyle too.

A typical scene kid has black hair or some crazy colors, crazy streaks with flowing bangs covering his/her eye or both. Scene kids’ hair is dead straight, sometimes poofy-spiked at the back, whatever its name is.

Hair trends are fitted for white kids and other ethnic races but not suited to black guys. Have you seen one with a poof in the bag sporting long hair or with a shock of bangs and colorful hair?

Wear classic shoes like Converse or Vans Classics as a start then, you can wear other brands if you wish. If you prefer to wear Converse, choose the one that has bright color. You can have black or gray as well as neon red shoes if you possess a lot of confidence.

They label their pictures with names of no sense and pretend that they’re so depressed when they’re not. You can see them also acting conceitedly, posing in vanity and in arrogant manner when in reality, they are cool and nice guys.A lot of scene girls don’t wear clothing without name brand and their designer bags are really expensive. They usually wear a cool belt with buckle on the side of the hip. They adore neon-colored eye shadow and wear heavy layers of eyeliner.

Scene kids are young people that have become prominent over the past decade. They are usually aged 14 - 21 and sometimes older or younger than that. Scene kids who are more than 20 are commonly regarded as scenesters.
Scene kids are most often mistaken as emo kids because there are a lot of similarities between the 2, but there are also many differences. When emo music first became a trend in the 80s and 90s, teenagers would go to these emo concerts.
Today, emo music is still famous, and because scene kids often go to ‘hardcore’ shows, they are seen interacting with emo kids. Thinking that they belong to emo, the two groups become friendly with each other. That is why emo hair is popular with scene kids, and band t-shirts become popular with emos. The emo term is often abused to the extent that many people categorize emo and scene as one group.Scene kids love Hello Kitty, dinosaurs, little kiddy things, and bright colors. Most of them are nice people, but they feel offended if you call them emo. Some scene kids also do not want to be called scene and they prefer no label at all. Some scene kids give the impression that they are better than others, but that depends on the person, not majority.
Most often, you can see them with their iPod, computer and cell phone. A lot of people do not like scene kids because they got the impression that scene kids are copy-cats and they all look the same, but they are not.

If you are a scene kid and you don’t want your personality to be affected by negative assumptions, maintain your good behavior in public scene. Be amiable to everyone especially to your own circle of friends.
Let others think what they believe and be surprised of what you really are deep inside. Error in judgment is often committed by people about scene kids believing that they are horrible, carefree kids who do nothing but spread bad rumors against others and are not friendly to deal with.

There’s no need to act this way just to be “in” the crowd. Instead of adopting bad traits which annoy people, there is nothing that can replace good behavior in public scene. Create an impression that you are sporting a scene style merely because it’s cool, not because you want to display a rugged attitude.
Whatever way you act and speak, you can’t please others. People will always criticize you wherever you are and whatever you do, good or bad. Just stick it out with your pleasing personality and be confident. Just think that you suit that kind of scene kid looks because you are good-looking and modern.
